Sorry, sir, that you're sitting in dog poop

There are a few things that I expect from a flight crew when boarding. Falling the seats before takeoff is certainly one of them. But apparently, it was too much to ask a Delta crew.

WXYZ of Detroit reports that Matthew Meehan, a resident of Michigan, recently boarded a Delta flight from Atlanta to Miami. Shortly after, he sat in his seat and settled in, he and the passenger next to him found that they were sitting in a literal shit. Apparently, he had been left behind by an assistance dog.

"The feces and everything was on me. I sat in it and it was on the seat, on the floor, the seat in front. And I was literally there, "he told the TV channel. Both people went to the front of the plane to clean themselves up and ask for help. The flight attendant was less than useful.

"I do not know why I did not suggest anything about the bio-hazard kit to clean," Meehan said. "Instead, I was given two paper towels and one of those miniature bottles of Bombay Sapphire, a bottle of gin to clean me." Gin!

Meehan did what he could with what he had received. Meanwhile, the flight attendants continued to board and said they could not do more than they had done before. Meehan gets off the plane and asks to speak to a manager.

"At first, she sighed," What's your problem? "And it was just, you know, I had to retire for a moment and say, okay, keep your cool. You do not want to be one of those people that we see on news being fired from an airplane, "Meehan said. "In the meantime, I am covered with excrement."

Along with the other passengers, he was forced to spread a blanket on the mess and then occupy it for the entire two-hour flight.

Delta issued the following statement, according to WXYZ:

On November 1, an Atlanta-Miami flying plane operating in 1949 was embarked before the end of the clean-up, following an incident that occurred during a previous flight with an assistance animal. Delta apologizes to the customers affected by the incident and has worked to remedy the situation by offering a refund and additional compensation. The safety and health of our customers and employees is our top priority, and we are conducting a full investigation while following up with the right teams to prevent this from happening again. Upon landing in Miami, the aircraft was taken out of service to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Meehan, at least, has seen a refund offered. He was also contacted by a group of lawyers who wish to handle the case. It is unclear whether he will take legal action.

Anyway, I guess just because we are in 2018 and we live in a society, you should always check your place before you sit down because you do not know if there will be dog shit .
