A South Carolina woman was sentenced Tuesday to 60 years in prison for kidnapping the alleged former mistress of her husband, who has been missing for nearly five years.

Tammy Moorer, 46, was convicted of kidnapping and plotting to kidnap Heather Elvis, a 20-year-old hostess who disappeared from Myrtle Beach in December 2013, according to The Post and Courier.

A judge sentenced Moorer to 30 years in prison for each count.

Elvis reportedly had an affair with Moorer's husband, Sidney Moorer, aged 42 – who, according to the investigators, allegedly had plotted with his wife to kidnap him.

Prosecutors alleged that the Moorers went to Elvis on the day of his disappearance and purchased a pregnancy test that they intended to use to determine if he was pregnant with Sidney's baby.

In February 2014, Sidney and Tammy Moorer were arrested and charged with kidnapping and murder in connection with Elvis' disappearance. The murder charges were later dropped.

According to prosecutors, the couple then lured Elvis to a boat that landed at Socastee around 3:30 am – phone records would have shown Sidney's phone at age 20.

About 15 minutes before, Elvis and Sidney spoke on the phone for four minutes, according to the Sun Times. Tammy Moorer, however, testified that she did not give much importance to this phone call and claimed that Sidney and she did not leave the house afterwards.

A few days later, the Horry County police found Elvis' car on landing.

Nancy Livesay, Senior Associate Lawyer, compared Tammy Moorer to "Evil Queen" in Snow White.

"When you mix up jealousy, deception and just a completely crazy woman, so worried about the theft of Elvis (Elvis), it's at that time that abnormal things happen," Livesay said.

Tammy Moorer's lawyer argued that the investigators did not have a crime scene or physical evidence to link the allegations.
