The creators of the series "South Park" have published rare excuses, reproaching the character of ManBearPig to be forgiven for a record of more than ten years.
In a 2006 episode of season 10 of the animated series, Al Gore issues a stern warning to students at South Park Elementary School about "the greatest threat to our planet". .
At the time of the broadcast of the episode, Gore was a month away from the release of the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth". The problem is that for "South Park", ManBearPig was a fiction, suggesting that Gore imagined the threat.
"South Park" did not really care about the global problem at the center of "An Inconvenient Truth".
Twelve years later, show creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker orchestrated a mea culpa.
In this week's episode, "It's time to get some cereal," the kids discover that Gore was always right when Stan's character sees an attack. They seek the help of Gore, what he provides, but not before apologizing for not taking it seriously years ago.
