Telstar 18 VANTAGE launched from Cape Canaveral on Monday

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Telstar 18 VANTAGE from Cape Canaveral early Monday morning at 12:45.

The Telstar 18 VANTAGE communications satellite was delivered to the geostationary transfer orbit.

According to SpaceFlight Now, the satellite will provide broadcast, corporate and government communications services in parts of India, China, Mongolia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean.

SpaceX landed and recovered the first stage booster via its Atlantic drone ship, "Of Course I Still Love You".

The mission was scheduled for July but has been delayed several times.
