LAGOS (Reuters) – A special police force was deployed in the northern state of Kaduna on Sunday after violence in the past few days left 55 dead, the president said. Muhammadu Buhari on Twitter.

"The police have been allowed to do everything possible to restore calm," he said in the tweet.
