Spectrum customers in central Florida on Monday are experiencing cable and internet failures, and the company did not say when the service will be restored.
The interruption would have started Sunday night and Spectrum tweeted that he is experiencing a video problem. A spokesman for Charter Communications – Spectrum's parent company – said on Monday that Sunday's storms were behind the downtime and its engineers were tackling the problem.
"Partial restoration has returned to the affected areas and we are working to have all affected customers return to service as quickly as possible," said Joe Durkin in an email.
But failures are not limited to cable services.
On Monday morning, Orange County public schools informed parents that many of its campuses did not have access to the Internet and the network, but in the afternoon, a spokeswoman said that all was online, although intermittently in some areas.
Spectrum's customers turned to Twitter, with some complaining that the service disruption interrupted Sunday night's football and that others said their favorite networks were not available.
Many customers are wondering if the company will issue credits on their accounts for service interruption.
Hal Boedeker contributed to the report.
