Spencer Kieboom of the Nationals lost a tooth, but it was not good before reaching his first career circuit

Washington Nationals rookie Spencer Kieboom had an interesting Tuesday afternoon.

Kieboom competed for the first time in his career during the first match of a double day against the Philadelphia Phillies. But it was not for that reason that he had attracted attention. On the contrary, a strange sequence of events led people to believe that Kieboom had discovered a tooth just before launching.

What really happened was that Kieboom had lost his temporary tooth earlier on Tuesday. The "tooth" that he spat before swaying was a little more than your typical loogie.

Ok, so Kieboom lost the tooth this morning biting into a wand. Except it was not a real tooth, it was a temp while he waited for a new veneer. He has it in his pocket. He did not spit on the ground.

Kieboom entered the day by striking .198 / .281 / .248. This will undoubtedly be the highlight of his season – although he was not as hardcore as he seemed at first sight.
