ABC has transmitted a spin-off of The environment it would have seen Eden Sher continue to play Sue Heck as a young adult.
The network put the offshoot, Sue Sue in the city (with two "Sues" in the title) developing shortly after The environment finished his nine season season. It would have followed Sue when she finished her studies and started life alone in Chicago.
The series also screened Brock Ciarlelli, who was to continue playing his role as BFF Brad Bottig of Sue; Chris Diamantopoulos, Kimberley Crossman, Finesse Mitchell and Aaron Branch were also regulars.
As The middle, Sue Sue in the city came from creators DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler and Warner Bros. TV. The studio may try to find another buyer for the project.
