Some Midwest customers had problems calling on Wednesday, but the company said in a statement that these issues were now resolved.
"The intermittent voice problem has been resolved and service is fully restored in the Midwest and in other markets," Sprint said on its Twitter page late Wednesday. "Maintaining a reliable service is our top priority and we sincerely apologize to all concerned customers."
The breakdown lasted several hours.
