St. Paul Chipotle Manager Fired; Videos show black men not served

ST. PAUL, MN – Chipotle said it had sacked the manager of a facility in St. Paul after a series of videos posted on Twitter showed that a group of young black men were going to work. was denied restaurant service unless they could prove that they had money for the meal. . Employees behind the counter ignore the group as they wait to be served and the men in the group accuse the employees of stereotyping them.

"We will not eat unless you really have money," said an employee. The same employee suggested that the store could call the police and that the group could be heard and be angry at the situation.

The video then shows a white client entering the restaurant. The staff seem to make up for the woman's meal and apologize to her.

The official Chipotle Twitter account responded directly to Ali and said that it is not so that Chipotle employees should treat their customers.

"We are committed to treating all our customers with fairness and respect," Chipotle said on Twitter. "The manager has been fired and the restaurant has been converted so that it will not happen again, we will get back to you."

In an e-mailed statement, Chipotle said he conducted a thorough investigation after speaking to employees and management who were working Thursday night when the incident occurred.
