Stan Lee's family bid farewell to the iconic comic artist at a private funeral held four days after his death.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Lee's prisoner of war! Entertainment said that he had been put to rest "in accordance with his last wishes".

"While we all continue to deal with our feelings of loss in the face of the passing of a true legend, many are wondering if there will be a memorial in honor of Stan," the company said in its statement.
"Stan has always been adamant that he does not want a big public funeral and, as such, his family organized a private, in-camera ceremony in accordance with his last wishes. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with them, "the statement continued.

Those seeking to pay tribute to Lee can post their messages on a "wall of memory" created on the late writer's website.
The company announced that it was also preparing a tribute, stating: "Stan's greatness makes it a monumental task and we hope to have more information about it in the coming days."

Lee died Monday at the age of 95.
He died a little less than a year and a half after the death of his wife, Joan Lee, in July 2017, at the age of 93. They had been married for 69 years at the time of her death.
He is survived by his daughter Joan Celia "J.C." Lee.
