Stan Lee's family organizes small private funerals

Stan Lee's family recently held a small funeral for him.

The Marvel Comics Mogul Company, POW! Entertainment, shared the news in a statement via Twitter on Friday. Lee died Monday. He was 95 years old.

"Stan has always insisted that he did not want a big public funeral and that is why his family organized a private ceremony behind closed doors in accordance with his last wishes." Our thoughts and prayers continue. To be with him, "reads the statement.

While Lee's funeral was reserved for close friends and family, fans will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the comic legend.

Hallie Stephens from ET recently sat down with The ant man star Michael Peña at Junket for his new Netflix series, Narcos: Mexico, where the actor reflected on the impact of Lee.
