Disney XD has released an extended trailer for its new animated series, Resistance to Star Wars. Resistance is the third Star wars comic television show developed globally (more Star Wars: The clone war and Star Wars Rebels), but the first one that takes place several years after the events of the original Star wars film trilogy. The series resumes specifically six months before Star Wars: The awakening of the force and explores the rise of the First Order, as well as the growing resistance against them.
Created by Lucasfilm Animation President, Dave Filoni, Resistance follows the adventures of Kazuda Xiono (voiced by Christopher Sean), a very talented, but young and inexperienced fighter pilot recruited by Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac, resuming his combat role) to spy on the First Order and determine who can and can not can not be trusted Meanwhile, when he is do not Implementing very secret missions for the Resistance, Kazuda earns a living by competing in sky racing competitions with other members of his makeshift family – a crew also known as Team Fireball.

While previous Resistance The trailers focus more on Team Fireball's sky races than on missions that endanger the life of the Resistance, the show's trailer plunges deeper into the growing efforts of the First Order to transform itself into super- power capable of conquering the galaxy. Among other things, this has extended Resistance The trailer offers a better overview of the televised version of the Starkiller base, which is not yet operational, and presents a special appearance of Captain Phasma of Gwendoline Christie (who, if we do not forget, is still alive when Resistance unfolds). Meanwhile, on the more heroic side of things, the clip features a welcome cameo from Rachel Butera as General Leia Organa as she prepares plans for, resist the first order with Poe. Judging by this video, Butera is channeling the late Carrie Fisher with her vocal performance here.
In the end, this extended trailer is encouraging and suggests Resistance will aim to balance its race story elements in the sky with the more dramatic sub-plot involving the increasing militarization of the First Order. The clone war and rebels were at their best when they mixed the adventure for the whole family with a mature narrative and a thoughtful world construct – and by necessity, Resistance is already in the process of making an equally successful blend.
