SportsPulse: Although there was a lot of disruption on Sunday, the Chiefs and Rams distinguished themselves as being the only elite NFL teams.

For one night at least – despite a late fear – everything was fine for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Playing on the same field in Tampa where they won their last Super Bowl almost ten years ago, the six-time champions finally clinched their first win of the 2018 season on Monday, surviving a return of the Buccaneers to retain a win. -27. Ben Roethlisberger lit up the Tampa Bay defense, Antonio Brown smiled again after a tense week, and the continued absence of the "Veon Bell" was hardly a problem.

Today, 1-1-1, Pittsburgh fired in a half-match of the AFC-North, Baltimore and Cincinnati co-leaders, despite the difficult start to the season.

Big, bad Ben: Notoriously inconsistent performer on the road, Roethlisberger appeared at his home at Raymond James Stadium (site of his most impressive professional performance during the Super Bowl XLIII triumph over the Cardinals). After being held on Pittsburgh's second stint – Justin Evans, Bucs goalkeeper beautifully broke the ball – Roethlisberger rebounded by leading three consecutive selections (two ending in TD shots) to lead the Steelers to a comfortable lead of 16-7. He launched a final TD just before half-time, and Pittsburgh entered the locker room 30-10 before surviving the Tampa Bay rush. Brown finished with six catches for 50 yards and scored on a 27-yard pass from Roethlisberger in the second quarter. Big Ben finished with 353 yards in the air to go with those three TDs.

McDonald's menu: The security of buccaneers Chris Conte was in this menu in the game of the night. Roethlisberger's first TD pass went to tight wing Vance McDonald, who caught the ball near the left touchline, pushed Conte to the ground after a brutal wrestling and a descent into free fall for the record. Conte left the match with a knee injury following the game.

Fitzmagic sparkles: Seeking to become the first player in NFL history with 400 yards passing and four assists in three consecutive games while trying to put the Bucs in a surprising 3-0 in the absence of Jameis Winston, the veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick the job done. He raised 411 yards with his right arm and helped the Bucs to 17 points unanswered in the second half. But three interceptions proved too difficult to overcome for the NFC South co-sponsors.
