While Ben Roethlisberger and other Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up to open the season against the Cleveland Browns, the tensions seem to be deepening with The Vein Bell and the organization.
The holder of the Pro Bowl has not yet announced his signature of his offer of $ 14.54 million. By listening to his agent, this is not what Bell plans to report in the short term.
Speaking on SiriusXM NFL Radio WednesdayBell's agent, Adisa Bakari, hinted that Bell could well pass the season.
"I'll answer that question with a question," Bakari replied when asked what the plan was with Bell. "Because you know very well that I'm obviously not going to discuss our plan publicly, but I'm going to answer the question – or try to – with a question, what would be the goal – you're Kevin Colbert, you?" Mike Tomlin – and you may have a player once for a season. What would your plan be? What would you do with this hypothetical player? "

In the subtext between these lines, Bakari seems to suggest that he is worried that the Steelers might crush his client knowing that it is their last year to use DIY. Bell won 431 hits in 16 games, including the playoffs, last season. In the previous campaign, he won 405 hits, including the playoffs.
Bell is expected to report back to Week 10 to earn a year of free will in the open market and launch on the open market in 2019. Bakari has not let the plan pass.
"(We will know) when we know it," he said. "I think Mike Tomlin said it best yesterday, he'll be there when he's here, and we'll sort it out when he gets there."
Bell would lose $ 855,000 in game checks each week he plays. Since he did not sign the franchise offer, he is not under contract and therefore can not receive a fine. The 26-year-old will have to show up before 4 pm AND Saturday to be paid for the Sunday competition.
"If my memory serves me correctly, I said that" Veon was definitely planning to make this season the best season of his career, "Bakari said of his comments this summer. "It has not changed, and it is his intention to make this season the best statistical season of his career."
It would seem impossible for Bell to have its "best statistical season" if it missed matches.

If Bell skips games, James Conner is about to take the lead role in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers linemen this week defended Conner as a substitute, and on Wednesday they took their best shots to Bell so far.
"What are you doing? Here's a guy who does not care, so I guess we'll treat him as such. I just hate that happened to that," said Ramon Foster, by the post-Gazette Pittsburgh. "It's seven times what I do twice as much as Al (Villanueva) does and we are the guys who do it for him."
Maurkice Pouncey is clearly DONE with the absence of The Veon Bell. He says that he would prefer that Bell simply say when he is going to show up, even if it's week 10: "Why play hide-and-seek? Why let your agent say it? Will do.� ¿½ï¿½
