Stephanie Moelis Rivkin and Joel Stern Sircus were married on September 22 at Theater on the Lake, a Chicago event space. Robert M. Dresser, a friend of the couple who became Minister of the Universel for the event, officiated with Meredith H. Potter, another friend of the couple, who led them to their wishes.
Ms. Rivkin, 27, is Sales Manager at Google's New York office; she will be working at the Chicago office from October. She graduated with distinction from Yale.
She is the daughter of Cindy S. Moelis and Robert S. Rivkin of Chicago. The father of the bride is the deputy mayor of Chicago. Her mother is the president of the Pritzker Traubert Foundation, the Penny Pritzker charity in Chicago, who was the Obama administration's trade secretary.
Mr. Sircus, 26, is a Chicago investment partner at DNS Capital, Gigi Pritzker's investment office, Michael Pucker and their families. The groom also graduated with honors from Yale, although the couple met in high school in Chicago at the Walter Payton High School Preparatory High School.
He is the son of Mindy Crandus Sircus and Gary M. Sircus, also of Chicago. The groom's mother is a general manager at the in-house law firm at Major's Chicago office, Lindsey & Africa, a legal recruitment service. His father is responsible for teacher education programs at the Museum of Science and Industry Institute for Quality Science Teaching in Chicago.
