Do not expect Stone Austin, Steve Austin, to open a cold any time soon. The legend of WWE revealed that he had abandoned alcohol as part of a new health plan, according to the New York Post.
Austin has announced the news during an episode of his podcast. The 53-year-old said he was sober for 14 days and that he felt very good.
"My food program is fantastic. [I’m] to stick to my exact macros. [I’ve had] zero alcohol for the right to 14 days now, "he said.
"The books stand out. My strength is increasing. Jesus Christ, I am as strong as a horse … here.
While at WWE, Austin was famous for drinking two beers in the ring. When her hands were not filled with beer cans, they usually turned the double bird in the direction of WWE CEO Vince McMahon. In the rare cases where he did none of these things, he probably got his knockout, the stunning Stone Cold, on an unlucky opponent.
Austin must thank another former wrestler for his transformation. He abandoned the beer as part of Diamond Dallas Page's yoga program. Austin praised the program on his podcast, boasting of being able to make the splits.
Austin also talked about trying marijuana for medical purposes, but said it was never his vice of choice.
Since retiring from ring games in 2003, Austin has made occasional appearances at WWE shows. His next appearance is almost guaranteed to include a stunner, but the chugging of beer is no longer a guarantee.
