OAKLAND, Calif. – Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr was sent off early in the third quarter of Monday night's Phoenix Suns pre-season game.

The incident came just nine seconds into the third quarter after Warriors guard Stephen Curry was called for an offensive foul. After exchanging words with the referee Ben Taylor, Curry was imposed a technical fault.

Kerr went to the defense of his star guard and came to the ground to protest Taylor's whistle. Kerr was quickly ejected and the rehearsals showed the coach telling referees: "I do not want to be here anyway," while continuing to protest the calls.

Kerr waved to the referees as he descended to the top, some of his players returning to the locker room.

Warriors forward Kevin Durant also suffered a technical foul in the first half.
