Adult movie star Stormy Daniels is due to meet with federal prosecutors on Monday to investigate the activities of President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, a person close to the investigation said.
Daniels is expected to sit with US Attorney's Office attorneys for the Southern District of New York, who oversaw raids in April that seized millions of paper and electronic documents from the home, office and from the Cohen hotel room.

The federal prosecutors' investigation into Cohen is known to involve allegations of bank and electronic fraud, as well as possible campaign finance law violations related to a $ 130,000 cohen payment orchestrated at Daniels just before the presidential election of 2016. Daniels said the payment was "silence money" aimed at keeping her calm about a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 and their communications afterwards .
Trump has denied any sexual relations with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Some campaign finance law experts have stated that the $ 130,000 payment schedule suggests that his main goal was to avoid damaging Trump's presidential candidacy in his last weeks. Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said the payment was personal in nature and not political, so he could not have violated federal law.
Despite a whirlwind of allegations, Cohen was not charged with any crime.
Trump acknowledged in a financial disclosure filed last month that Cohen incurred an expense in 2016 on behalf of Trump for an amount between $ 100,001 and $ 250,000. The form says Trump was not legally required to disclose the debt, which lacked a Trump form filed the previous year.
A spokesman for US Attorney General Geoffrey Berman declined to comment on the planned meeting with Daniels, who was first reported by the Washington Post.
Daniels brought two lawsuits against Trump. One of them, in Los Angeles, is seeking to overturn the "hush money" agreement that she signed in 2016 with Cohen, which Trump has never signed . The other lawsuit, filed in New York, accuses Trump of defamation for suggesting on Twitter that she's invented a story about being threatened to keep quiet about her experience with Trump. It is not known if the alleged threat is part of the federal investigation.
A former Daniels lawyer, Keith Davidson, also confirmed that he is cooperating with federal authorities investigating Cohen.
