Justin Dean Shields, a 19-year-old student at Florida State University in Miami-Dade County, who has not been seen by his friends or family since Wednesday, was found Sunday afternoon.

The details will come, said the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

The agency appealed Saturday to the public to help in a search that had been conducted since the discovery of the 2016 Ford Fusion White Shields. Still in the car, which the sheriff's office said was on Old Magnolia Road about a mile north of Rococo Road, were Shields' cell phone and wallet.

As for Shields, a graduate of Coral Reef High School in Miami-Dade, investigators say that a person wearing his description of 6 feet and 180 pounds was seen walking on Old Magnolia around 7am on Friday. K9 units, diving teams and the agency's aviation teams began combing the rural area on Saturday. Volunteers joined the deputies on Sunday during the search.
