Summary of the season – Big Brother 20: A winner is crowned and surprises are not lacking

We created it! It's the final evening of Big Brother 20 and after 99 days, a winner will finally come out of the house with 100 cameras in his walls. Will Tyler benefit from the momentum he has created since the first day to win the half a million award? Will Kaycee, who emerged with perfect timing as a competition beast, use her impeccable sense of victory for herself? Or can JC beat almost every chance and become the ultimate winner?

We start this final with the end of Sunday's video show, right in the middle of the first part of HoH's final competition. While the three finalists keep their jetpacks for life, Tyler is in the newspaper room if his initial promise to launch the first competition at Kaycee is indeed the right decision. Despite all the blue, slanted and blue "jets", the finalists manage well before JC falls after an hour. With their biggest hurdle out of the way, Tyler should live up to his promise and give Kaycee the win. Nope! Tyler holds on as Kaycee's stamina fades, knocking her down and giving her victory for the first part. "It's the most important dream of my life," says Tyler in the newspaper room. He explains why he went back on his word. In the end, he hopes that Kaycee will not accept him personally and that she will always take him to the final 2 if she wins all the shebang. Kaycee, as one might expect, is annoyed, but says she will stay focused on the second part and beat JC.

In the second part of the contest, "Mount Evictus", JC and Kaycee receive clues that will help them create monuments with the faces of their past counterparts. Once they have found the clues, they will grab the nameplates and climb a wall to ask their answers. If they are correct, a "laser" will sculpt the good monument. The person who recovers the three monuments in the fastest time wins this second installment. Both struggle with the clues given, but it is ultimately Kaycee who locks his place next to Tyler in the final part of the HoH competition. The road from JC to the final 2 has become more difficult, but he still hopes that anyone who wins the third part will win.

Now is the time for what is always the best part of every Big Brother final: hella shady jury round table with Dr. Will! When Angela turns out to be the last member of the jury, things get interested quickly as she talks about Tyler and Kaycee (who seems to crush Sam's mind for the 77th time this season) and Level Six himself. Angela is also quite dismissive of Kaycee's strategy, saying she has rolled Tyler's cattails and has done nothing with all the major competitions and vetoes she has won. "Are you saying that because you're secretly in a demonstration with Tyler?" Asks Bayleigh with a deserving look. Angela responds by saying that she respects players who have made big moves (Tyler) more than those who followed the status quo (Kaycee). Of course, Angela herself was part of this status quo at level six. Staying close to your man is one thing, but it's revisionist history. Bayleigh makes another point by saying that Kaycee's big shot may have prevented Angela from catching all the heat and then taking her out at the end.

Making some points for a JC victory, Rockstar said he was leading the house by putting ideas in people's heads and standing aside. Scottie helps Rockstar's case by reminding the jury that it was JC who put Faysal's idea into place, which was essentially the fatal blow to The Hive / Foute. Angela and Bayleigh did not fall in, saying that JC was a non-participation in competitions and that the winner of Big Brother should be someone who has managed to be a complete player. "Tyler made a lot of mistakes in the game and he always triumphed," Bayleigh said, adding that Foute fired after him and failed. Brett, Scottie and Haleigh evoke Tyler's ability to take big steps under the radar while seducing everyone into believing that he was on their side. The last part of the HoH competition, "Jury Oddcasts" (I miss you the least, online puns), offers Tyler and Kaycee to watch videos in which each member of the jury gives true and false facts about the season. After each video, they will have to answer if they think that the fact in the video is "totally correct" or "not quite". The person who has the most correct answers is our last HoH and officially in the last two. It's a slack period between the two full competition and things are going to a tie-break, which is won by Kaycee, the Julia Louis-Dreyfus winning competitions. When the time comes to make her big choice, Kaycee chooses Tyler for the day and sends JC to the jury. The now full jury meets on the stage for the most important hurdle at the grand prize: the jury's questions. The two finalists have most of their strategies when they are hammered by the jury. When Brett questions Kaycee about her strategy outside the competition, she cites her strong social game as her top priority and what brought her here. With Tyler and Angela, and Faysal and Haleigh still strong, the relationship between Swaggy C and Bayleigh remains the big question mark. That's until Swaggy asks Bayleigh for his hand in marriage. In a grim reminder at the final of last season, the votes start with an easy lead for Tyler, but quickly turn Kaycee's way into a 4-4 draw with Bayleigh. As hiccups multiply among audiences and guests, Julie reveals that Bayleigh's vote was for Kaycee, making her the 22nd winner of Big Brother.
