Super Deluxe is dead, again

Screen Capture: Super Deluxe

It may be time to accept that the Super Deluxe brand of Turner Broadcasting, which hosts a host of Internet content and short forms very strange over the years, is rather cursed. The comedy Shingle has died once before, when she was absorbed by the larger Adult Swim organization in 2008, and now, do not you know, she's dead again here in 2018. (Happy Birthday!)

Deadline reports that Turner is closing the mark, which she relaunched in 2015 with often explicitly political content, such as the moment when former Mexican President Vicente Fox criticized Donald Trump, or their various attempts to make C-SPAN such a fun and possibly high group. They also engaged in all kinds of funny and strange web experiences, like the time they were hosting a telenovela live on Facebook (with public votes to determine the outcome of the scenes) and torturing a guy with robots for pleasure.

Unfortunately, even the high levels of robot torture can not last forever, as Super Deluxe is dead again. The news comes at a strange time for the comedy label, which had just begun to diversify into full-length shows, including an adaptation of the popular online quirk Do not kiss me, I'm scared.
