Lex Luthor is official set to make his Arrowverse debut in Supergirl season 4. The infamous Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) became a main character back-to-season 2. The Man of Steel himself (Tyler Hoechlin) made his Arrowverse debut that same season and will be joined by Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) during The CW's DC Elseworlds TV crossover event later this year. Current Supergirl showrunners Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner have officially confirmed that the following statement will be made:
"We're beyond excited to introduce iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season. We've talked about having a good time and we're excited about it. We can not wait for him to shake things up in the city of Lena Luthor. "

The season 4 premiere episode, "American Alien", featured an appearance by Lex's former head of security Mercy Graves (Rhona Mitra) and her brother Otis (Robert Baker), as they attempted to fan the flames of growing anti-extraterrestrial sentiment in National City and the world at large. Question is, were Mercy and Otis acting on Lex's orders? While it's possible that Lex is innocent in this case and that the Graves were acting on the subject of the four antagonist Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer), it's just as plausible that Lex was involved in some of these situations. in anti-alien feeling to his advantage (maybe even to try and get his 32 consecutive life sentences reduced). Either way, it will be just as interesting to learn how Lex Luthor on TV since Michael Rosebaum's iteration Smallville.
