Surprise! Julie Andrews has a secret role in the next Aquaman

Julie Andrews may not be in Mary Poppins Results but she has a role in another successful movie.

The 83-year-old expresses a creature known as Karathen, a mythical underwater creature who is more important to Jason Mamoa's Arthur Curry than he realizes, according to what Weekly entertainment.

The Karathen is the key to Curry's journey in the union between Atlantis and the surface world, the magazine reported.

"We wanted the Karathen to have the voice of a classic British actress, even though it was slightly digitally altered," said Peter Safran, Aquaman producer, said at the exit.

"And when we found out that Julie was interested, available, and excited about throwing her, throwing it was obvious," he said.

Safran added, "Who knew that Aquaman would the real Mary Poppins have this Christmas? "

While Andrews will be in Aquaman, which will be released December 21, she will not make an appearance in May Poppins is back – also coming out next month.
