CHESTER COUNTY, PA – Bruce Rogal, the man wanted for shooting his parents Wednesday night in a community of Chester County retirees, has died, authorities said Thursday.
"Bruce Rogal is dead, there is no permanent threat in Chester County, and all the law enforcement personnel involved are not injured," the district attorney said in a statement. , Tom Hogan. "It's a tragedy that the accused has killed his elderly parents.All first responders have done a tremendous job under enormous pressure."
The prosecutor is expected to publish additional details about the situation, but reports indicate that Rogal died after a police chase in which he crashed into a house in Bradford's western suburb where his ex-wife lives, reported 6abc.
The authorities were looking for Rogal, 59, from Glenmoore after the mortal fire at 18:15. in a retirement community in East Goshen. He was considered "armed and extremely dangerous," Hogan said at a press conference Wednesday night. Police said they were looking across the Philadelphia area and neighboring states.
The shooting was triggered by Rogal's divorce, authorities said. The divorce order, issued earlier Wednesday, granted his ex-wife the home. "That seems to be what made him go out today," Hogan said.
Rogal went to his ex-wife's home in West Bradford around 5:45 pm, according to the DA. She was standing in the alley by changing the oil in her car when he fired several shots on her, missing each time. Houses nearby were hit by bullets.
From his ex-wife's house, Rogal drove to Bellingham, a seniors' residence on East Boot Road in East Goshen, around 6:15 pm.
He went to the apartment of his parents, William and Nancy Rogal, shared in the center, shooting and killing them, said the prosecutor. Both of his parents were in the late eighties.

That's when Rogal started racing. A strong police presence has broken down on the area, first responders, police and helicopters have invaded the area. Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police have issued a warning about local shelters for local residents, urging everyone to lock all windows and doors and stay indoors. Bellingham was locked up because the area was secure.
Many residents were safely returned to their apartments on Wednesday night, Hogan said. Displaced residents who lived near the crime scene, as well as family members of other residents, are housed at East Goshen Elementary School, which served as the police headquarters for this incident.
