– The 20th Annual Breast Cancer Walkthrough, hosted by the American Cancer Society, drew more than 25,000 participants to downtown Tampa on Saturday morning.

The survivors traveled the 5 km next to their loved ones from the Amalie Arena and through Platt Street Bridge.

Olivia Moses, a breast cancer survivor since May 2016, was one of them. "I happened to be in my bathroom, doing a breast exam in front of the mirror, and found a mass on my left breast that had not been there the previous month."

Moses says that his annual mammogram and monthly breast self-exams have been part of his life since his early twenties.

"It saved my life, it's true," she added.

Linda Hurtado, presenter of Fox 13 News, celebrates her 7 years without breast cancer and acted as host.

"That's how I like to celebrate, I like going out and celebrating with my people, my sorority and having a good morning," Hurtado explained.

The American Cancer Society has reached its fundraising goal of $ 750,000.
