Tampa Bay Buccaneers replace Ryan Fitzpatrick by Jameis Winston

CHICAGO – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who pitched Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Chicago Bears, added Jameis Winston in the second period.

In the middle of the strong pressure of the Bears defense, the Bucs offense only got three first tries and a third less. Fitzpatrick completed nine of his 18 passes for 126 yards and was intercepted by Eddie Jackson on a pass to Mike Evans. He was fired twice.

In his first possession, Winston completed five passes, but Danny Trevathan removed him.

Winston was active for the first time since his three-game suspension, but the plan was for Fitzpatrick to start and for the Bucs to re-evaluate their quarterback situation during next week's break.

The Bucs' fights against the Bears far exceeded Fitzpatrick. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky destroyed the Bucs defense, scoring five touchdowns in the first period.

Bucs from tight end O.J. Howard left the game against the Bears with a left knee injury and will not come back.
