A Chicago mother who stated that her tanning habit was so intense at one point that she was visiting the salon every day was warning others after diagnosing her skin cancer and the fact that she had a giant hole in his face.

Carrie Doles, 34, said she had started using tanning beds at age 18 and that she would avoid sunscreen when she was in the sun.
"I did not know what skincare was at the time, I was young and I did not need to take care of my skin at such a young age," he said. she entrusted to MDW Features. "My skin was lucky if I put SPF on it or any type of moisturizer."
But in 2010, Doles noticed a rind on his left temple and discovered two weeks before his wedding that it was a skin cancer. At age 26, Doles was diagnosed with basal skin cancer and underwent six procedures to remove the affected cells.

Doles said she hoped her experience would serve as a telling tale on the importance of skin care and sunscreen. She does not spend more time in tanning beds or tanning.
