Actress Tatum O'Neal revealed that she was a survivor of multiple sexual assaults in a passionate article published on social media, condemning Donald Trump for the treatment of Christine Blasey Ford, the accuser of Brett Kavanaugh.

The star, known to be the youngest actress to win an Oscar for her role in "Paper Moon" at age 10, turned to Instagram to reveal that she had survived multiple assaults since her childhood .

"I am a woman and I have been sexually assaulted more than once! It was not my fault when I was 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, 15 years old. Everything was made up of older men that I thought were safe, "she wrote. "I have rarely known safety and have always been blamed for aggression, my volume and my curiosity."

The star noted that it had taken her 55 years to understand how to talk about her experience and defend herself. Although she did not name her attackers, she went on to explain that the recent conviction of Blasey Ford by President Trump had prompted her to act.

"See the President of the United States. Mock a woman, let alone a victim of sexual assault. We have sunk into a depravity to which I would never have thought that the President of the United States could sink you, "she wrote. "With the tumultuous laughter of a person who was assaulted at the age of 15 years. That's the case of a 75-year-old man at the age of 15, 35 years ago, I remember everything !!

She continued, "There are people who will say, I have it or it would probably be my fault. Or I deserved it, that's what America has sent you now. Together, we fight for empathy and kindness towards each other, whatever your preferences. Whether you are black or white, conservative or liberal, we are American and we should always fight for people traumatized or who have suffered never to hurt others for any reason. I have never seen such a dark period in our country. "

As noted earlier, Trump commented on the story of Blasey Ford at a recent rally in Mississippi, mocking his uneven memory of the events in question.
