Learn to vote early with Taylor Swift!
Swift went on Instagram on Wednesday morning to give his fans a few words of wisdom about voting early in the upcoming mid-term elections use his platform to advocate for being politically active.
"Something I would like to know at the age of 18 and vote for the first time: THE EARLY VOTE," wrote Swift in the caption of his Instagram post. "This makes the vote as easy and quick before November 6th."
She went on to explain to her fans how to vote early in her country, Tennessee, by writing: "Early voting begins TODAY in Tennessee and ends on November 1st."
Taylor's advice did not stop there, however. Swift provided Instagram subscribers with the link to Vote Vote's advance calendar, pointing them in the direction of the link in its caption. "You can check your country's advance voting dates via the link in my biography," she wrote.
Swift, who previously maintained its notoriously private political stance, made a rare political statement on social media earlier this month, denouncing Republican President Marsha Blackburn and endorsing Democrat Phil Bredesen in the Tennessee Senate race.
His statement caused a significant increase in voter registration, prompting 65,000 people to register to vote, according to Vote.org. However, his political post drew the ear of President Donald Trump, who tweeted that he liked "Taylor's music about 25% less now".
