Daniel Hernandez – or, as his name is Tekashi 69, could consider a life sentence for his alleged involvement in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a gang operating in New York.
The US Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York announced today charges against Tekashi 69 and five others. Prosecutors say Tekashi 69 has been involved in an armed robbery and several shootings in New York. They also stated that, as a key member of the Nine Trey gang, he was involved in the sale of "highly addictive" drugs and racketeering.

The US prosecutor's office said the Nine Trey gang has been showing "unprecedented levels of violence" over the last year. Prosecutors said:
"As alleged in the indictment, this gang, which included rap artist Tekashi 6ix 9ine who sold platinum, wreaked havoc in New York City, by indulging in shameless acts of violence. Demonstrating reckless indifference to the safety of others, members of the group allegedly participated in robberies and gunfire, including a shootout inside Barclay's bustling center. to a ball in which an innocent bystander has been hit. Prosecutors said the Nine Trey gang was an incredibly violent "criminal enterprise" operating primarily in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. According to court documents, Nine Trey has raised funds through robberies and the sale of drugs such as heroin, fentanyl, MDMA and marijuana. The prosecution also said that Nine Trey perpetrated violent attacks on rival gang members, which sometimes led to the death of innocent bystanders.
Court records say that one of the main goals of the Nine Trey was to "keep victims and potential victims in the concern of Enterprise, as well as its members and associates, by acts and threats of violence".

Tekashi 69 and his suspected associates are investigating more than one violent crime leader who could drive them to prison in perpetuity. Prosecutors have pinpointed an incident on April 3 this year. They claim that Tekashi 69, as well as Kifano Jordan (AKA Shotti), Jensel Butler (AKA Ish) and Faheem Walter (AKA Crippy) committed an armed robbery. They reportedly targeted rival gang members in downtown Manhattan. Prosecutors say the group committed the robbery because they wanted to strengthen their position in the gang; the theft was committed "for the purpose of gaining entry, maintaining and increasing Nine Trey's position".
