NASA will host a teleconference at 1 pm EDT [17:00 UTC], Wednesday, June 27, to take stock of the Agency's James Webb Space Telescope [https://www.nasa.gov/webb] and the findings of an external independent review committee. Webb will be the world's first infrared space observatory and the largest astronomical space telescope ever built.
The audio of the call will be broadcast live on NASA's website [https://www.nasa.gov/live].
Participants in the teleconference:
* Stephen Jurczyk, NASA Associate Administrator
* Thomas Zurbuchen, Associate Administrator, NASA's Scientific Missions Directorate
* Tom Young, Chairman of the Independent Review Board
* John Mather, Senior Webb Project Researcher at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center

Webb, a very complex observatory, will solve the mysteries of our solar system, look beyond the distant worlds around other stars and probe the mysterious structures and origins of our universe. Webb is an international project led by NASA with partners ESA (European Space Agency) and the Canadian Space Agency.
