At least 10 people died after the sinking of a cruise ship in Lake Victoria on Saturday night and more than 40 others were rescued, the Ugandan police said.
"The rescue mission is still on its way to find other people," police spokesman Emilian Kayima said.

The cruise ship descended in the Mukono district, close to the capital Kampala, the Daily monitor diary reported on his site.
The popular musician Joseph Mayanja, better known as Jose Chameleone, described the incident in a tweet as painful.
"My heart is bleeding after a lot of my friends and friends have died after the boat party that capsized on Lake Victoria. May the Lord have mercy on all the families and friends of the deceased. We are a strong nation! We will win. "
