Terry Crews hopes to make a change for others.

"Last year, we saw powerful men in Hollywood and elsewhere finally held responsible for the sexual assault," Crews said. "We also saw the survivors stand in front of us, I wanted these survivors to know that I believed them, supported them, and that happened too.
The actor continued, describing the culture of "toxic masculinity" that he observed throughout his life, and how even now, "as a protector and symbol of strength," he has a impact on his life. He then recalled the moment he was fumbled at a party in Hollywood in 2016.
"I have heard over and over again the rights that my predator had, but never have I talked about the rights that I had as a survivor, it was the only one I had. wake up call, I knew I had to be part of what was happening here today. Crews filed a criminal complaint against the WME agent, Adam Venit – who he claims committed the attack – in November. He also sued Venit and WME.
AND learned in March that Crews' criminal complaint was not going after the Los Angeles district attorney and the Los Angeles attorney refused to sue for a crime charge because Venit had not contacted Crews during the alleged assault. The prosecution for misdemeanor has not advanced because the alleged incident was outside the one year limitation period.
