But in his second Kentucky game, junior forward Terry Wilson became Kentucky's first quarterback to beat Florida since 1986.

His first touchdown allowed him to find his right before finding David Bouvier in the end zone. In the first round of the second period, Wilson kept the ball on an option play and crossed the Florida defense for a 24-yard touchdown.

All was not positive for Wilson.

Two turnovers in the second quarter – a fumble and an interception – put an end to what could have been kills in Kentucky in Florida.

But as he did in the first game against Central Michigan after three turnovers in the first period, Wilson rebounded to lead two scoring campaigns in the second half.

"I just feel like I have my feet under me," Wilson said. "I learned that I had to have a piece of white paper and play the next game.Can't dwell on the latest games.Just play hard."

With only two Division I games under his belt and a road match, Wilson remains a work in progress.

But being able to say he's the first quarterback in Kentucky for 31 years to beat Florida is a good start.

"I do not have words for that," said Wilson. "It's just a long journey to get here, that's what I dreamed about as a child."
