The billionaire CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, reportedly pay for new water posts and water filtration for the entire district of Flint Community Schools.

On Thursday night, the school district tweeted its enthusiasm thanks to Musk and the Musk Foundation, which the technology entrepreneur founded in 2002 with his brother, Kimbal.

The district serves over 4,500 K-12 students.

"You're welcome," Musk replied. "I hope to do more in the future."

In July, Musk repeatedly tweeted about Flint, saying that he would pay to remedy the Flint houses' contamination whose levels exceeded the acceptable standards of the US Food and Drug Administration.

This led to another promise on the platform to directly call Flint Mayor Karen Weaver. His office later confirmed to MLive that someone from Musk's office had reached out.

The Musk Foundation in Palo Alto, Calif., Focuses on "Renewable Energy Research and Advocacy", "Research and Advocacy for Exploration". "human space," "pediatric research" and "science and engineering education," according to its website.
