Texas A & M and LSU competed on Saturday night in a college football classic that saw the two teams combine for the most points scored in an FBS game in NCAA history.
The remarkable match came to an end with Kellen Mond's conversion pass to Kendrick Rogers in seventh overtime, giving Texas A & M a 74-72 victory over LSU # 8 in a match that also equaled the NCAA record for the largest number of extensions in an FBS. Thu.
"Two teams refused to lose and we only played one more time," said Texas A & M coach Jimbo Fisher.

Mond had 287 yards and six touchdowns, three 2-point conversions and scored another touchdown as Texas A & M skated LSU for seven games and earned their first win against the Tigers since 1995.

Burrow scored three touchdowns and ran three more while the Tigers were denied their first regular season of 10 wins since 2012 and were probably eliminated from the race for a New Year's day petanque game.

Mond found Davis on a 19-yard touchdown pass during the final regulation game to be sent to OT. Orgeron had the impression that the time was up before Mond raised the ball to stop the clock with a second to allow this game.
"I feel bad for these young men," said Orgeron. "This second should not have been scheduled, and I'm sticking to that."
Both teams scored goals in the fourth overtime to send him to fifth.
Burrow sent a 25-yard touchdown pass to Dee Anderson in triple overtime and Justin Jefferson scored a 2-point conversion. Rogers raised the score to 49-49 and imposed a four-overtime penalty when he passed a 25-yard passing pass and a 2-point conversion.
Both teams settled for goals in the field in the first hour. Mond scored a 3-yard touchdown in double overtime and LSU sent him in triple OT while Nick Brossette followed with a 3-yard run as well.
