Texas A & M hits Texas as the most valuable

Texas A & M is the new king of Lone Star State football and universities.

according to Forbes MagazineTexas A & M has surpassed the University of Texas as the most valuable university football program.

The list is based on the proceeds and profits of the 2014-2016 seasons, obtained from the annual declarations of the sports department of each school at the NCAA and the Department of Education.

In those three years, Texas A & M averaged annual revenues of $ 148 million, while Longhorns generated an average of $ 133 million in revenue.

The jump for the Aggies is due to the fact that it is third in terms of revenue and sixth in terms of royalties and licenses.

Their move to the 2012 Southeast Conference did not hurt either, with the league paying an additional $ 41 million to each member school.

The third rank on the list is Michigan, followed by Alabama and the Ohio State.
