Thanksgiving day will be sunny and windy, with temperatures reaching only 20 ° C in the Boston area and bursts of wind that will make it feel much colder. The cold has caused some communities to postpone their traditional games to the Turkey Bowl on Wednesday.

A wind chill advisory was released for western Massachusetts on Thursday morning. The notice will be in effect from 4 pm to 10 am Thursday for parts of counties Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden, where the value of wind chill could drop to 15 degrees below zero.

"Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if no precautions are taken," said the meteorological service. "Make sure to wear a hat and gloves."

On Thursday, the night will usually be clear and windy, with hollows for teens, and some places could set new cold records for Thanksgiving, the weather service announced.

Sunday, the weather will be cloudy with a chance of rain, but temperatures in the Boston area could reach 50 degrees – which will be really soft compared to the freezing cold we have experienced recently.
