If your turkey is too dry on this Thanksgiving holiday or if your first attempt at pecan pie leaves something to be desired, remember that you are not alone. The author of the cookbooks and social media superstar, Chrissy Teigen, recounted her failure of Thanksgiving cuisine on Instagram, proving that even professionals experience kitchen disasters from time to time. On Wednesday, November 21st, Teigen shared his progress on pie making via his Instagram Stories, but the final result only came later. It seems that her pie has spent too much time in the oven and that it's a little … um, crispy.
Teigen shared a photo of the sad and burnt pie on his wire with this hilarious legend:
"In case you're wondering why I did not put my finished pie on my instastory"
All pies are beautiful, but it looks like this one has some charcoal issues. The fact that Teigen shared the photo will surely make her fans love her even more. She has never been the kind of celebrity to simply present a perfect picture of her life on social media. She happily shares her mess, her mistakes and all the other little reminders that she, her husband John Legend and their kids are like everyone else. (Though they are, it is true, cooler – Luna is already a pop star.)
Pie: 1, Teigen: Well, always early, because she has also cooked at least three different types of meat, sauce and cranberry sauce. Through her Instagram stories, the Cravings The author has accompanied the fans at every step of the pie making process, from pouring the pumpkin mixture (at least it looks like pumpkin) to the crumble's love overlay. Despite all this, the pie clearly had its own plans, and those involved burning to crack.
As a true leader, Teigen did not let a pie fail to stop him. Instead, she resumed and shared an image of her second baking test. It's unclear how that happened, but given his cooking skills, the second pie was probably the best.
While Teigen and her husband, Legend, usually love to cook together, it seems she's flying solo this year because the singer performs at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A fact she stressed in the most hilarious way possible on Twitter. In response to Caption sharing a tweet from Macy's, she wrote:
"Someone had to stay home and cook for our children and our family"
And hey, with two children under five, family and friends, and who knows what else, is it surprising that a pie has been baked too long? Basically, Teigen prepares a feast, organizes events, is a mom and shares relatable stories on social media, at the same time – she's clearly the Thanksgiving queen, the pie and everything.
Just know that if every part of your Thanksgiving dinner does not give a perfect picture this year, you are not alone. Even a kitchen professional like Tiegen has cooking problems, so just channel the Cravings author, take a deep breath and try again. Because that's certainly what Teigen would do.
