One of the two winners of the $ 688 million Powerball jackpot was revealed Monday as a woman from Redfield, Iowa, who had bought a ticket while she was ################################################################################## She was picking up a slice of pizza and coffee at a local store.

Lerynne West, 51, was declared a winner at a press conference with the Iowa Lottery.

West, a mother of three girls and a grandmother of six, announced that she would take the lump sum of $ 198.1 million and planned to use that money to help her family and friends .

West said she had bought her ticket Oct. 26, a few days after buying a house in Redfield. She said that she was packing her stuff when she asked her sister to take her to Casey's general store so she could restore herself.

While she was picking up her food, West said that she had also decided to buy a Powerball ticket.

When she returned to her sister's car, West said that she thought she had put the ticket in her purse but had accidentally dropped it on the truck floor.

She said that she had forgotten the ticket until a friend called her a few days later and told her that there was a Powerball jackpot winner at Redfield and asked him if she had taken it away.

West said that she had called her sister and asked her to check if her car had been purchased. It was then that West learned that his ticket matched the Jackpot 4 number. After a quick search online, West discovered that his ticket matched the five winning numbers, namely 8, 12, 13, 19 and 27.

"My daughters and I were dreaming of winning the lottery, I would never have thought we would be here today," she said, telling reporters that she did not believe that She had won. "As a single mother, I worked full time, I went to school full time nights and weekends and my daughters had to sacrifice a lot for it."

Now that this reality has hit, West said that she was responsible for using the money as an "opportunity to influence others."

"I know I have to take responsibility for this money," said West, moved. "And my life has changed forever, and I plan to make thoughtful and responsible decisions by giving to my friends and family, and by preparing myself so that my grandchildren will all have a university education."

West was also setting up the "Callum Foundation" in honor of one of his grandchildren who died after his untimely birth and to help other people.
