Cleveland wide receiver Josh Gordon would like to join the 49ers, and there is at least some mutual interest.

Sunday, General Manager John Lynch told The Chronicle that the 49ers had called the Browns about a potential exchange and that they were doing their homework on the great productive and upset player who played for the head coach. Kyle Shanahan.

Shanahan, who was Cleveland's offensive coordinator in 2014, was also asked about Gordon. He said "satisfied with all our team" when asked if he was satisfied with his receivers body, but he did not dismiss the idea of Add Gordon.

"We will look at every situation to try to always improve our team, no matter the case," Shanahan said.

Saturday, general manager of Cleveland John Dorsey said in a statement that the Browns would release Gordon on Monday, but they received commercial interests. Gordon would have liked to play for the 49ers or the Cowboys, and the Browns want him out of the AFC.

Gordon, who was not on the injury report last week, was then ruled out Saturday for his loss to New Orleans on Sunday. Gordon was injured during a promotional session, ESPN reported.

Due to the suspension of several drug offenses, Gordon, 27, played only 11 of 66 games in 2013 for a total of 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns.

Robust guard: Offensive lineman Niners Mike Person played through some pain.

Despite not having practiced the week because of a sprained foot he suffered in the first game of the season, the person took the start to the right guard and played the 60 shots.

In the days leading up to the match, Shanahan had indicated a rookie no Najee Toran would start unless a group of wounded linemen, including Person, make a "miraculous recovery".

"He was adamant that he was going to play all week," said Shanahan. "We just smiled at him. … I have a lot of respect for this guy.

Better for Bourne: A week later, he took the wrong road, which resulted in a bad choice of Vikings in six points. Kendrick Bourne executed the correct route.

This resulted in a touchdown.

In the second quarter, Bourne lined up in the backfield and was wide open for a 4-yard touchdown reception when he fainted in the left apartment.

It was Bourne's first career touchdown.

"Especially after last week," said Bourne, "to get my first NFL game this year and the touchdown is really big for me."
