AThe actress has filed a restraining order against the prosecutor and potential candidate for 2020, Michael Avenatti, following his arrest last week on suspicion of spousal abuse.
Estonian actress Mareli Miniutti has filed a restraining order against Avenatti and online records of the Los Angeles Superior Court indicate a hearing for December 10, announced The Blast for the first time Monday.
On Monday night, after The Blast released its initial report, Avenatti said any allegation that he had committed domestic violence was "completely false and fabricated."
"I look forward to seeing my name clarified and the disclosure of all the facts," tweeted Avenatti on Monday. "I have NEVER abused a woman or committed domestic violence against anyone. Any claim to the contrary is completely false and fabricated. I am a target. And I will be exonerated.
TMZ announced last week that Lisa Storie-Avenatti, the former wife of Avenatti, had complained to the Los Angeles Police Department. But Storie-Avenatti's lawyer said that "the article is not true with respect to my client" and TMZ updated his report to indicate that the incident involved another woman.
Avenatti was released shortly after his arrest and thanked "the men and women who work hard for the LAPD for their professionalism".
"They were doing their job only in the light of completely false allegations against me," said Avenatti.
