CHICAGO – The Major League Baseball has extended the administrative leave of Addison Russell for the Chicago Cubs until Sunday, confirmed a source on Thursday.
Russell, 24, was placed on paid leave last Friday after his ex-wife published a blog detailing the abuses committed during their brief marriage, including physical violence. Until she connects to the blog on Instagram, her ex-wife did not cooperate with the baseball investigation, which had been open last season when she had left Russell. A source confirms that she is cooperating now.
