After almost two decades, Honda has renewed its passport.

With a new teaser video of 44 seconds, The automaker has confirmed rumors that a brand new Honda Passport will be unveiled on Nov. 27 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The original passport was Honda's first SUV – a five-seat vehicle sold from 1994 to 2002.

In Thursday's teaser video, the new Passport raises dust on a winding dirt road that suggests its off-road capabilities. The visual details of the vehicle are obscured by the dust and the video is filmed flying from the bird.

Available for purchase in 2019, the Passport will join Honda's famous light truck lineup and will be somewhere between the CR-V 5-seater crossover and the 8-seater Pilot SUV.

"The new Passport is a more personal, more powerful and more versatile SUV, which ranges from everyday driving comfort and off-road adventure opportunities on weekends," said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., Senior Vice President of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and General Manager, Honda Division.

As demand for SUVs continues to grow, Honda's light truck sales are on track for a fourth record year, the company said, with sales up 5.3% compared to those of last year.

The new passport will be "designed and developed in the United States," said Honda.
