A viral video captured Tuesday seems to show a bald eagle perching on the scale of a Minnesota fire truck. This truck was participating in a flags exhibition commemorating the 17th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

"Amazing," Andover Fire Chief Jerry Streich said repeatedly about the video he filmed in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis, in Coon Rapids. The department says the video has been viewed more than a million times.

The video shows two aerial fire trucks parked on an overpass, suspending an American flag between their ladders – a tribute to the victims and first responders of the September 11 attacks.

The national bird landed on one of the truck's ladders, stopped for a few moments on the edge of the basket, and then flew away.

"There is no better symbol to represent America today than a flag, but for an eagle landing on a fire truck holding a flag, I mean, it's not much more symbolic" Streich said.

Streich said it was the 17th anniversary of the city's annual tribute.

Firefighters from several departments were present at the event, including draping a banner over the viaduct ramp that said, "We'll never forget," reports Minneapolis. Star Tribune.

Streich said that he could not believe his eyes when the eagle landed for what he described as less than a minute or so.
