Residents of South Carolina have been ordered to evacuate from the coast as the state prepares for Hurricane Florence to land later this week.
Governor Henry McMaster on Monday ordered that eight counties along the coast, namely Horry, Georgetown, Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley, Colleton, Beaufort and Jasper, evacuate their trip no later than noon.
About 1 million people are expected to evacuate the coast of South Carolina.
President Trump tweeted that storms in the Atlantic Ocean "are very dangerous" and that his administration "encourages[s] anyone who is on the road to these storms is getting ready and heeding the warnings of state officials and local authorities. "
