Bears cornerback Bryce Callahan intercepted Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen with a minute and 10 seconds of play to help retain a 16-14 victory at State Farm on Sunday.
After the Bears forced quarterback Cardinals Sam Bradford to escape the fourth quarter, they took a 16-14 lead over Cody Parkey's 43-yard placement.
The Cardinals then put Rosen, who led the offense on the Bears' 45-yard line. In fourth and fifth place, Callahan scored the third interception of the afternoon and the fourth turnover of the Bears. The Cardinals had 55 seconds to try to score the final score, but the Bears defense dropped Rosen.
The win gave the Bears (2-1) a better than .500 record for the first time since they defeated the Jets on September 22, 2014 to improve to 2-1. The Bears are also alone in the front row of the NFC North.
At the end of the first quarter, the stadium video showed highlights from the Bills victory over the Vikings and the Redskins victory over the Packers. The large number of Bears fans applauded the defeats of NFC North.
A few minutes later, quarterback Mitch Trubisky lost a breakaway – his first of two turnovers in the first period – and the Cardinals took a two-touch lead over the Bears.
But the Bears defensemen were intercepted by Eddie Jackson, Sherrick McManis and Callahan to allow a strong comeback and prevent a third win on Sunday.

The Cardinals mark TD on the opening
The Bears' defense got off to a bad start, allowing the Cardinals to score on their first attack.
Sam Bradford's 35-yard touchdown against Ricky Seals-Jones allowed the Cardinals to take 7-0. Bradford also completed a 30-yard pass to Christian Kirk on the road.
Bears are driving stalls with FG missed
Cody Parkey, the Bears kicker, missed a 46-yard effort at 4 minutes 55 seconds into the first quarter.
The Bears had reached the 13-yard line on the road, but quarterback Mitch Trubisky was sacked by Budda Baker and Bene Benwikere for a 15-yard third-place loss.
Cardinals stretch out ahead after Trubisky
Cardinals defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche forced quarterback Mitch Trubisky to tackle late in the first quarter and the Cardinals recovered. Cardinals quarterback Sam Bradford then found David Johnson for a 21-yard touchdown pass in their next game for a 14-0 lead.
Parkey gets bears on the board
The Bears grabbed Cody Parkey's 20-yard goal at the end of the second quarter after reaching the 2-yard line with two Cardinals who handled the passes. Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky overturned receiver Allen Robinson in the end zone, third, to push the Bears to the point.
Trubisky launches interception
After the Bears forced the Cardinals to play in a 1:35 time play in the second quarter, quarterback Mitch Trubisky kicked off his first interception of the afternoon. Chandler Jones passed the pass and Tre Boston intercepted him. The Bears came in at half-time behind the 14-3 Cardinals.
Howard's run to deficit reduction
Jordan's 1-meter touchdown reduced the Cardinals' lead to 14-10 with 6 minutes and 16 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Mitch Trubisky's 39-yard pass to Allen Robinson ignited the training and Tarik Cohen had a 17-yard run to bring the Bears to the 1-yard line. The Bears moved into fourth and last place on the 19-yard line, and Trubisky's 1-yard pass to Robinson stayed the course.
McManis chooses goal in the field
Sherry McManis cornerback intercepted quarterback Sam Bradford at the end of the third quarter, McManis' second career interception, and the first since his rookie season with the Texans in 2010. The Bears got the ball in the 44-yard line of the Cardinals, but they could not get into the end zone. They selected Cody Parkey's 41-yard goal to reduce the deficit to 14-13 with 44 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Bears seizes another goal in the field
Bears linebacker Khalil Mack stripped quarterback Cardinals Sam Bradford and Danny Trevathan on the Bears' 16-yard line to prevent an attempt to score Cardinals. Cody Parkey, the Bears kicker, then scored a 43-yard goal with 4:31 to give the Bears a 16-14 lead.
