The best friends of my childhood fall fast and strong.

They do not fear being burned or playing. They just want to play games. They are not worried about how they will stay in touch either.

Mississippian's Brianna and her friend Heidi met with their parents in Honolulu at a holiday dinner cruise in 2006 after one night.

The holidays ended and 12 years later, Brianna pleaded with Twitter users to help him find Heidi.

"We were basically the best friends of the night, so I need you to help me find my best friend because I miss her and I need to see how she is doing now. "

In the picture of herself wearing a lei sitting next to a girl dressed in a blue dress, @Briannacry Twitter user asked for retweets. It has been retweeted over 101,000 times and is growing.

Heidi is found!

Less than 12 hours after the message was posted on Saturday, Nov. 24, the Twitter user @heii_tree responded. She was taking a picture of herself and her family during the dinner cruise and tweeted simply, "I heard you were looking for me."

Brianna wasted no time answering:

"OMG My heart is so happy."

Brianna, 19, told BuzzFeed News that she thought it might take a week or more to find Heidi. Since the two lost friends have connected, they share stories about each other's lives.

"The Internet is so amazing and has shown that the world is small, after all," she said. "We just caught up with life and school and everything."

A face-to-face meeting?

The Internet would like to see the two meet in person. But both live on both sides of the country, said Brianna, a student at Hampton University.

Heidi tweeted, "I'm going to college with some financial help, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

Neither of them said they approved a GoFundMe page that had been posted.

A happy ending brings tears of happiness

Twitter users were delighted when the two longtime friends connected. Heidi was not even connected to Twitter for years. This is only when friends have alerted her that she was being looked for that she has done.

Twitter users showed how much they had invested in the meeting with a long GIF train in tears.

And if this story did not move you a bit, then you may be in stone.
