NFL Sundays are back! Here are all the actions of week 1.
USA TODAY Sports

BALTIMORE – Absolutely deplorable.

There is no other way to describe the Buffalo Bills' incompetence on Sunday afternoon in their 47-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the most unbalanced defeat of week 1 and the second-worst defeat 59 years old. franchise history.

You could say that the only thing worse than the Bills was the weather because it rained all day at M & T Bank Stadium, and that was reflected in the number of empty seats as thousands of Ravens fans made the right choice and stayed at home. And they were joined by thousands of others who left at half-time with the Ravens in comfortable lead of 26-0.

But it would not even be correct. Nothing was worse than the Bills that day, and what made this performance so abominable was that Buffalo was incompetent in offense, defense and special teams, a total team effort. If the Bills had to play twice as much in future games, that could be enough to win three or four games.

But frankly, considering what we saw on Sunday, is it even possible? This list is so devoid of high-level talent, lacks so much depth that the Bills might not be able to compete with league teams this year.

Nathan Peterman, the darling of everyone's preseason, has been outdone once again. The good news is that it did not launch five interceptions like in Los Angeles last year; only two this time. The bad news is that he could not produce a single first time in the first period. Not one. This did not happen in any Bills game in the 21st century.

PLUS NFL:

Of course, he had no help from anyone. His wide receivers could not open and his offensive line could not protect him, but the undeniable truth is that Peterman can not play in the NFL. He just can not. He's not big enough, he's not strong enough, his arm is mediocre, and he can not turn bad games into good ones like the good quarters do. He barely has the backup level, let alone a starter, and Sean McDermott may have already reached this conclusion.

The Bills won the draw to start the game, and that was the only thing they were winning all day. McDermott chose to postpone as he almost always does – analysis, you know – and the Ravens said thank you very much and drove 80 yards in 10 games to take a lead that they did not never abandoned. Alex Collins scored the touchdown on a 7-yard run in the middle of the defense, which looked awful throughout the series.

After a pair of three-and-outs by the Bills, the Ravens managed 14-0 when Flacco hit John Brown with a 7-yard pass on a game where he was discovered in the end zone. Completely discovered.

The special teams took the lead in the second quarter as the kickoff team allowed Janarion Grant's 51-yard return to the Bills 23, which allowed Justin Tucker to score.

When the defense finally did something good – Matt Milano recovered a forced fumble by rookie Tremaine Edmunds at the Ravens 35 – the attack retreated and Stephen Hauschka missed a 51-yard placement.

Before half-time was over, Peterman served the first of two interceptions that set a goal on Tucker's pitch. Crabtree who made it 26-0.

"Poor Nathan Peterman," said Boomer Esiason of CBS at halftime. "They threw it to the wolves, boys. It just does not look good. This is unfortunate. The question is whether Josh Allen will see the game time today assuming nothing happens to Nathan Peterman. This would be a decision of the coaching staff. I do not think they'll do it because I think Baltimore absolutely feasts on everyone.

When Peterman did nothing on the first two possessions of Buffalo in the third quarter, McDermott did indeed decide to end the misery and he appealed to rookie Josh Allen, proving that McDermott is not afraid to protect his active.

By that time, the deficit had risen to 40-0 while Corey Bojorquez, the rookie rookie, escaped his own 14 which led to Flacco's 13-yard TD pass to Willie Snead. The second choice of Peterman caused the fall of Javorius Allen.

Like Peterman, Allen really had no chance, but there was no doubt he was more able to move the offensive than Peterman had done at any time. break the Ravens game.

At the end of the third quarter, the bills had six first downhill attempts, were 1 in 12 ranked third and 83 net yards.
